MyChart Bedside Keeps You Connected During Hospital Stays

MyChart Bedside helps you track your care and information and build a personal connection with your care team while you’re hospitalized. This feature, accessed through your MyChart app, is designed for patients who are admitted to one of MyMichigan’s Medical Centers. Family members with proxy access can also use the app to stay informed of your care during your stay.

MyChart Bedside lets you and your proxy users:

  • View your schedule, including medication times, nursing tasks, surgeries and more
  • Get bios and role descriptions of your care team
  • Get education about your condition(s)
  • View inpatient medications and lab results
  • View discharge planning information
  • Get a list of your current and past health issues
  • Message your care team for non-urgent requests, such as taking a walk, moving to a chair or an extra blanket. (You should still use your call light for urgent requests, such as needing to use the restroom, feeling short of breath or needing pain medication.)
